Getting Interviews

Mote Marine Laboratory scientists have expertise in seven major areas of research. Many of the lab's experts are world-renowned for their research in areas such as shark science, aquaculture, manatees, dolphins and sea turtles, fisheries enhancment techniques and technology, red tide, its biotoxins and effects on human and animal health, coastal, estuarine and benthic research and coral reef health and biology.

Mote’s Communications Division is here to help facilitate interviews with the lab's expert scientists. Communications should be the first stop for reporters and filmmakers looking for expert sources.

Call Hayley Rutger, public relations specialist, at 941-388-4441, ext. 365, or e-mail hrutger@mote.org or call Nadine Slimak, publications/public relations manager, at 941-388-4441, ext. 417, or e-mail nadines@mote.org. The Vice President for Communications is Martha Wells, mwells@mote.org.
