A Run-for-the-Turtles team is any group of people, no matter how large or small, that comes together to form a team. Schools, families, businesses, clubs and organizations are all great examples of teams that come together to support turtles. |

| How does our team become the winning team? Every team is a winning team, but the team with the largest number of PRE-REGISTERED runners will become the first place team. Remember, in order to qualify for the team trophy all team participants must register by March 24, 2012. |
What does the first place team receive? An engraved plaque with the team name. |
Why should our team participate? Run for the Turtles is the Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program’s ONLY major fund-raising event. The efforts supported by this event include studies of nesting loggerhead and green sea turtles. (Click here to learn more.) |

Mote Marine Laboratory has been a leader in marine research since it was founded in 1955. Today, we incorporate public outreach as a key part of our mission. Mote is an independent nonprofit organization and has seven centers for marine research, the public Mote Aquarium and an Education Division specializing in public programs for all ages.
