Membership FAQs

  • What visitor services are available at Mote?
Plan your visit to Mote to include lunch in the Deep Sea Diner and take a trip back to the ‘50s in this retro eatery. Burgers, fries, salads and milkshakes are sure to satisfy the hungry in your pod. Visit our gift shops for an array of sea-oriented souvenirs — from T-shirts and toys to exquisite jewelry and fine art. Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is handicap accessible. More on Mote Aquarium.
  • Can other people use my membership?
Privileges associated with each membership level are for the person(s) named on the card. You will be asked to show photo ID upon arrival at Mote Aquarium. Memberships are non-transferable and are not valid if the person named on the card is not present. Fortunately, each Mote Membership level allows for one or more guests to accompany you upon each visit.
  • What happens if I lose my card?
Our computer system in the Aquarium admissions area allows us to access your Membership record with photo ID. To request a duplicate card online (needed especially if you're planning to take advantage of your reciprocal benefits at another organization) please click here. You may submit a form in our admissions area at the Mote Aquarium Membership Desk or e-mail us directly at membership@mote.org. Replacement cards can take up to 14 business days to produce and mail, so please keep this in mind when making plans to visit organizations that give Mote Members reciprocal benefits.
  • We love our Mote Member benefits. How do we renew?
Membership renewal notices are mailed approximately three months before a membership expires. Renew by mail when you recieve your notice, online by clicking here or at the Mote Aquarium Membership Desk. Special incentives are included for those who renew early. Please be sure to keep us notified of any changes in address, phone and e-mail so we can make sure our communications reach you wherever you are.
