A History of Mote Marine Laboratory
Mote Marine Laboratory was recently asked to submit a brief history for inclusion in a special upcoming issue of the scientific journal Gulf of Mexico Science. This special issue of the journal is designed to introduce readers from around the country to the breadth and depth of marine science that has been and continues to take place in the Gulf of Mexico.
Since putting together his piece for the journal, Dr. Kumar Mahadevan, the Lab's leader for nearly 30 years who is currently President Emeritus, has continued to expand on his report by adding additional details and images from the organization's past.
