Oceanography Merit Badge: February 2, 2013
Boy Scouts may complete all of the requirements for their Oceanography Merit Badge in this all-day workshop, which combines hands-on classroom, in-water, and Aquarium exploration. Mote's brand new sea lion exhibit "On the Water's Edge," will be incorporated and enjoyed throughout the lesson. Please note that Scouts must complete all pre-requisites (details are in the registration packet) in order to earn their badge, and that the workshop does not include physical interactions with Mote exhibit animals. Scouts should bring their blue cards with them, and be prepared to go in the water. Find out what to bring and wear.
Cost: $22 per participant (student or chaperone). Each student or student group must be accompanied by at least one chaperone. Cost includes all program materials, Mote patch, and admission to the Mote Aquarium. Lunch and the Oceanography patches are not included. You will be emailed a confirmation and schedule from Mote staff when registration is received.

Girl Scout SeaSnooze Overnight: Mote Marine Laboratory Patch
Ever wonder what our sharks do at night? Or how a dolphin sleeps? Explore the Aquarium at Mote Marine Laboratory after dark as we learn about marine science through fun, hands-on, interactive activities. Mote educators will lead this marine science program to align with the Girl Scouts National Leadership Journeys. Whether you are a daisy, brownie, junior, or cadette we have the perfect Saturday night for you. (Please bring Journey books on night of event.)
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER! Cost: $42 per Scout, 1 adult chaperone per 5 scouts required and admitted FREE. Additional chaperones $15 per person. Each girl must have one adult gaurdian present at the event. Cost includes all meals and snacks, Mote Marine Laboratory Patch, and admission to all facilities.You will be emailed a confirmation and schedule from Mote staff when registration is received.
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. Check in with instructor begins at 6:15 p.m.
Place: Meet instructor in front of Aquarium, at the whale statue.

SeaSnooze Overnights
Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts enjoy these exciting overnight adventures in the Mote Aquarium. Overnights may scheduled on demand by groups of 15 - 50. SeaSnoozes include a special Mote Marine Laboratory Scout Patch.

Cancellation Policy
There are no refunds for Mote Education programs unless Mote cancels the program. If you provide notice of cancellation, or a change in the number of students attending, more than days before the program begins, we will credit your payment to a future program. If within 5 days of the program, you cancel or decrease the number of students attending, or fail to show up without giving notice, you will be charged in full for the program.
