Girl Scouts: Dolphin Encounter Patch
Please note: Despite its name, this Girl Scout Patch Workshop does not involve any physical contact or personal interaction with our dolphins.
Dolphin Patch Day: Saturday, December 5, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. : Learn about dolphin biology, behavior, and conservation at Mote Marine
Laboratory and complete many or all of the requirements for the Dolphin
Patch. This fun-filled experience includes an 90 minute interactive
classroom program, a dolphin training observation, and all-day
admission to the Aquarium. A dolphin watching boat excursion on
Sarasota Bay is available for an additional fee. Scouts
may sign up individually or with their troops. Adult supervision is

Dolphin Patch Day: $18 all participants
Patch Cost: $1.50
Dolphin watching boat excursion: $16 children/ $20 adults

On-demand Dolphin Patch Workshops:Troops
may also schedule a 90-minute Dolphin Encounter Patch workshop with a
Mote educator at their convenience. The workshop fulfills many of the
patch requirements, but does not qualify the scouts for a patch on its
own.

Boy Scouts: Oceanography Badge
Oceanography Badge Day, Saturday, October 17, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.:
A full-day Boy Scout event with workshops, collection activities, and
an opportunity to complete the requirements for the Oceanography
Badge. Scouts may sign up

Learn about sea turtle biology, behavior, and conservation at Mote
