Mote Aquarium
Mote Aquarium hosts nearly 400,000 visitors a year in Sarasota, Florida, where a variety of marine life - from the smallest critters to apex predators - are showcased. The aquarium's many exhibits are designed to highlight the marine research performed by the scientists at Mote Marine Laboratory.
Mote Aquarium also features trained docents situated throughout the aquarium who are always on hand to answer your questions and provide you with an interactive experience. SEA life at Mote!
Mote Marine Laboratory has been a leader in marine research since it was founded in 1955. Today, we incorporate public outreach as a key part of our mission. Mote is an independent nonprofit organization and has seven centers for marine research, the public Mote Aquarium and an Education Division specializing in public programs for all ages.
