There are 2 easy ways to renew your tag and get the "Protect Our Reefs" license plate.
Give the gift that helps protect Florida's reefs ... a Reef Plate Gift Certificate. "Protect Our Reefs" specialty license plate gift certificates are now available for purchase at any Florida local tax collector office, licensed tag agent or state motor vehicle office. Just bring the name and address of the gift recipient with you when you purchase the gift certificate, and a receipt will be provided and a credit will be issued in their name. This gift receipt can be redeemed by the recipient when they purchase or renew their license plate and pay the regular registration fee. Registrations are renewed on the birth date of the registrant so "Protect Our Reefs" license plates will make great birthday gifts!
