The database covers materials in all formats, including printed works from the 15th century. The records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition and earth and environmental sciences. The Archie Carr Center for Turtle Research (Sea Turtle Online Bibliography 1965- ) Indexes more than 11,000 items covering all aspects of sea turtle biology, conservation, and management. IngentaConnect Ingenta is one the world's largest websites for the search and delivery of research articles. It provides a free online search service of more than 25,000 publications. The database can be searched by title, author, keyword and even journal issue number. Document delivery of articles is available for a fee. FishBase FishBase is a global information system about fishes, containing 24,800 species, 44,000 synonyms, 97,000 common names, 20,000 pictures, and 19,000 references. FishBase is a relational database with fish information for research scientists, fisheries managers, zoologists and others.
LarvalBase A global information system about fish larvae, containing 2,198 species, 3,992 pictures, 4,405 references and 58 Collaborators. Fast and easy access to all information relevant to the identification and rearing of fish larvae for aquaculture and stock enhancement and for the conservation and re-establishment of fish biodiversity.
National Sea Grant The National Sea Grant Depository (NSGD) serves as an archive of all Sea Grant-funded documents - more than 72,000 publications. Database includes journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports, brochures, fact sheets, books, maps, newsletters and audio-visual materials. Publications cover a broad range of disciplines: marine education, fisheries management, aquaculture, environmental studies, research methods, seafood science and industry, diving technology, etc. Pub Med PubMed provides access to a database of bibliographic information drawn primarily from MEDLINE and PREMEDLINE. MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary medicine, the health care system and the preclinical sciences. The MEDLINE file contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from approximately 3,900 current biomedical journals with about 9 million records dating back to 1966.
Scirus A comprehensive online scientific research tool. With over 545 million scientific items indexed, it allows researchers to search for not only journal content but also scientists' homepages, courseware, pre-print server material, patents and institutional repository and website information.
