Mote REU Program 2010 Application Form

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING TO THE MOTE REU PROGRAM

Please complete this application form in its entirety.  In an effort to reduce paper consumption and our impact on the environment, emailed submissions of the application materials to reu@mote.org are encouraged.  In addition to this form, students must submit the following items:

1. A resume or curriculum vitae describing any science-related jobs, internships, volunteer work, scholarships and/or other activities that you have held or participated in and other skills or accomplishments that you wish to identify.

2. A one- to two-page statement of interest, describing your interests and career goals, the reasons why you should be selected for participation in the Mote REU Program, how participation in the program will influence your career development, and the programs or mentors with which you are interested in working and why.

3. A copy of your current college transcript (unofficial or official copies are accepted).

4. Two letters of recommendation from individuals capable of commenting on your academic qualifications and, if possible, research skills (college or university faculty or research advisors preferred).  Emailed recommendations are preferred, sent directly from the writer to reu@mote.org.

All items must be received by March 2, 2010, preferably via email at reu@mote.org. Items may also be sent via fax, 941-388-4007, or surface mail to:
