Mote's Annual Oceanic Evening has a Halloween theme!

If you only attend one Halloween party this year, it should be ours. Oceanic Evening is Mote's annual black-tie gala and major fundraising event benefitting Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. This year, Oceanic Evening is taking a ghoulish turn with the theme "The Devil & the Deep Blue Sea!"

Join us to cavort among watery goblins and monsters of the deep — and keep a sharp eye out for "The Monster of the Mote Lagoon" and (what else?) the "Headless Seahorse Man." Just about anything is possible on this night in the Haunted Aquarium.

There will be plenty of treats to go around!

Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a seated dinner at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in the Mote Aquarium courtyard. Tickets are $250. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal catered by Michael's on East and an evening of socializing and dancing to the musical sounds of "Double Vision" all while you're surrounded by the spooky sealife in Mote's exhibits.

Help us make a splash for oceans and the science of the sea! Valet parking will be available. For more information, to make reservations or to become a sponsor of Oceanic Evening, please contact Vicki Wiese at vicki@mote.org.
