Mote will bid a fond farewell to the six black-footed penguins in our limited-time exhibit, Penguin Island, on April 14 during our annual Party on the Pass. (No tux required for this casual-dress event — unless you happen to be a penguin!)

Guests can dine, dance and spend a little more quality time with Sly, South, Oswald, Ninja, Rudy and Coaster before they fly the coop. The next day, April 15, is the birds’ final day at Mote Aquarium.

Party on the Pass starts at 6 p.m. on April 14 in the Mote Aquarium courtyard, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway in Sarasota.

Admission is $75 per person and includes beer, wine, food from the Sarasota-Manatee Originals and opportunities to participate in silent and live auctions. All event proceeds benefit Mote’s hospitals for sick and injured sea life.
