We’re looking for scary, spooky, fishy or just plain fun costumes this October: Children who wear their Halloween costumes to Mote Aquarium on weekends throughout the month receive a free treat bag and get free admission Mote Aquarium (with a paying adult, of course). The special free admission offer is valid for one child ages 4-12 with each paying adult on Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 1-31, 2009. Regular ticket prices are $17 for adults and $12 for children ages 4-12. Admission for Mote Members and children age 3 and younger is always free. Mote Aquarium is located at 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota.

And don't forget that each Saturday in October, from noon to 2 p.m., be sure to keep an eye out for Mote mascot Gilly the Shark — you never know, he may be masquerading as a pirate or even a nurse shark (sorry, we just coudn't resist)!
