Website: www.mote.org

Rachael joined Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in the fall of 2012, coming on board as part of a new team creating a Mote marine science education program in the communities surrounding Charlotte Harbor, approximately 40 miles south of Mote’s campus in Sarasota. As a Marine Science Educator II, Rachael is responsible for creating and implementing marine science programs to engage students from ages 2 to adult.

In addition to offering programs based on Mote's current educational classes to students in Charlotte County, Rachael is working with the Charlotte Harbor Education Coordinator to develop new programming especially tailored to the region.

Rachael has been a long-time admirer of Mote Marine Laboratory and its ability to conduct cutting-edge research and share it with all varieties of audiences through education and outreach programs.  Mote is the type of research and education institution she has aspired to be a part of since high school.  As our oceans respond to influences with unknown results, she is excited to be working with such a wonderful team of educators and researchers that share in similar passions.
