Turtle upon arrival.

8/7 Turtle was recovered from the St. Lucie Power Plant Intake Canal.  It was found to be very lethargic and underweight as well as anemic.  It has been started on treatment, but is already showing some interest in food. 8/22 Turtle is improving and gaining weight. 9/1 Turtle is eating very well and has begun to respond to treatment for anemia. 9/11 Turtle is much better. 9/19 Turtle is much improved and anemia is resolving. 9/28 Anemia is almost gone and turtle continues to gain weight. 10/19 Continuing to do very well. 10/28 Turtle appears healthy at this point and we are applying for permission to release it in the next week or so.  It will be tagged tomorrow. 10/31 Turtle has been tagged and we have been given permission to release it.  Will probably have to wait for the weather to calm down on the east coast (i.e. after Tropical Storm Noel has passed) before release. 11/6 Turtle was released today at Indiatlantic Beach on the east coast of Florida.  Release went very well.
