Comments/Disposition:

Turtle upon arrival at Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital.

2/15 Turtle was found floating off Wiggin's Pass near Naples, Florida late yesterday evening and was transported to STRH this morning.  Turtle is weak, edematous, uncoordinated, likely affected by red tide toxicosis.  Turtle has been started on treatment and has been placed in shallow water. 2/17 Turtle appears to be responding well to treatment.  It began eating this morning and is now in somewhat deeper water. 2/21 Turtle is now in even deeper water and is eating very well. 2/23 Blood tests have confirmed very high red tide toxin levels. 2/28 Turtle's appetite is excellent and behavior is great.  May be releasable in a month or so. 3/15 Still doing very well. 3/21 Turtle has been approved for release next week. 3/29 Turtle was released this morning from Lido Beach.  Release went very well.
