8/14 Turtle was found floating in Anna Maria Sound, near Catcher's Marina, Holmes Beach.  Turtle has one of the worst load of barnacles we have ever seen.  Turtle is extremely lethargic, anemic, extremely emaciated, probably having been sick for nearly one year!  Antibiotics, fluids, and other supportive care have been started. 8/17 Turtle's anemia got progressively worse and then it died today, not unexpectedly.  Necropsy will be performed.
