This turtle stranded at Cape Cod due to hypothermia ("cold-stunning") and was initially treated at New England Aquarium. Due to space issues, the turtle was transferred to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital for continued rehabilitation and eventual release. This turtle had an injury to its carapace (upper shell) but it appears to be healing well. 3/5 Turtle is doing well and carapace injury is healing. Turtle's appetite is variable, but it appears to be related to behavior rather than medical issues. 4/4 Turtle is doing well and carapace is almost completely healed. 4/16 Turtle has been approved for release next week along with Marlin, Gill, and Crush. 4/20 Turtle was released today at Ormond Beach, Florida.
