4/7 Turtle was found floating in Naples Bay unable to dive. Radiographs reveal a possible foreign body. Will only offer small amounts of food until the foreign body "passes" or the animal will need surgery. 4/12 The turtle was nicknamed "Dude" and is eating all that is offered. 4/15 Dude is starting to pass small amounts of what appears to be coral. Will take more radiographs to monitor the progress of the foreign body. 5/31 Animal still not sitting on bottom but gaining weight. Fecal sample showed moderate flagelletes, will treat. 6/15 Finally sitting on the bottom 6/30 Dude is very fiesty and ready to be released. 7/13 Released from Lido Beach this morning.
