Carzina during transport from Gumbo Limbo to Mote

8/10 This turtle stranded in December 2010 on the east coast of Florida. Czarina was being rehabilitated at Gumbo Limbo's reabilitation faciliy and has already undergone one surgery to remove fibropapilloma tumors. The turtle has been transferred over to Mote's Sea Turtle Hospital and will undergo another surgery once the animal has settled into its new home. 9/10 The turtle underwent surgery yesterday and is recovering nicely.  Found a fibropapilloma tumor inside this animal's mouth that we will watch closely. 10/10 Turtle continues to heal from surgery.  No new growths observed. 11/21 With the help of FWC, this turtle was released today after it was transported to the east coast. Czarina is now back in the Indian River Lagoon!
