Comments/Disposition:

3/22 Sake was transferred to Mote by FWC from the Volusia Marine Science Center. The turtle was very weak and is missing a chunk of shell from its side (an old and healed) wound. Sake also suffers from an ulcer on its right eye. The turtle was given fluids and put in shallow water for the evening. 4/1 Sake continues to get stronger and was put in deeper water; however the turtle has not yet started to eat on its own. 4/25 Unfortunately, Sake did not survive. A necropsy will be performed to try to determine the ultimate cause of death.
