3/19/2010  Turtle was found on the beach of Manasota Key last night.  Arrived very weak and somewhat thin.  Fibropapillomas are present on the soft tissues, and affecting both eyes.  Turtle was dry-docked for the night and placed in shallow water this morning.  Unfortunately, the turtle stopped breathing and died unexpectedly this afternoon.  Results from the necropsy (animal autopsy) are pending.
