Comments/Disposition:
Leonard upon arrival.

4/12 Turtle was found floating near the Sanibel Causeway. This green sea turtle has multiple fibropapillomas that are shown in the image above. 4/13 Will start Leonard on antibiotics and fluid therapy until the turtle begins eating. 4/16 Leonard is eating small amounts of sea grass. 5/1  Leonard has started to eat better and is stable in weight.  5/25 Leonard was stable enough to have sugery to remove life threatening tumors. 6/5 Leonard is not eating well since sugery.  6/15 The turtle is finally eating better but remains on antibiotics and pain medication. 6/30 Eating all that is offered.  7/30 Turtle has an elevated white blood cell count, so we will try a new antibiotic for treatment. 9/17 We did cryosurgery on some new fibropapilloma tumors that were found on Leonard 10/7 Internal tumors were found — a condition that cannot be treated. So Leonard was humanely euthanized.
