Comments/Disposition:
4/1 This dolphin stranded on the Gulf beaches of Longboat Key. It has healed skin lesions and numerous rake marks. It also has a swollen shoulder that will be x-rayed soon. Dolphin is swimming on its own. It has been given fluids, antibiotics, and Vit. E/selenium. 4/1 PM Dolphin swam for a short period and then quit. It went into shock and died at about 10:30 pm. Necropsy will be performed tomorrow.
